Welly Loves… Luxury Festive Chocs

Edible stocking fillers for adults from Lakeland.

Lakeland Christmas EdiblesThere’s a fabulous selection of fine foods and sweet treats for Christmas this year in Lakeland.  The behometh of homeware and sundries has cherry-picked some gorgeous edible gifts from a selection of artisan producers nationwide.  I was asked to try out a selection of treats for Wellies & Wine and managed to whittle down my favourites (not my waistline obvs!) to these three.

Prosecco TrufflesThomas & Grace Prosecco Truffles – £4.99

OMG.  These are to die for.  Not only are they encased in a wonderful shimmer of festive dusting but the choc-caramel combination is really exquisite. (I just ate two writing that last sentence!).  The packaging and presentation make this a perfect gift for one of the girls.

Eau de Nil Vintage tea cup and saucer, ECLECTIC range by Salt & Pepper.  Also available in blush pink.  Was £14.99 now £11.99.

Chief Chocolate Officer

Chief Chocolate Officer – £4.99

I can generally eat chocolate anytime with anything.  When all of my friends are diving for the savoury munchies to accompany their vino, I could quite happily gnaw on a Curly Wurly…

Chief Chocolate Officer have upped the ante and launched an adult choc which can a) be eaten in public (unlike said Curly Wurly faux pas) and b) has been crafted to pair specifically alongside a glass of wine – hurrah for choc and wine troughing!  Try their milk chocolate version with pear and elderflower to accompany Sauv Blanc or take a bit of daring fig, smoke and pink peppercorn to go with a weighty Malbec.

Peppermint BarkPeppermint Bark Hot Chocolate – was £7.99 now £5.99

Presented in the most gorgeous retro-style tin and exclusive to Lakeland, yummy shavings of white and peppermint-flavoured dark chocolate mixed together with candy cane pieces make a delicious blend you add to hot milk.  A festive cup of joy for all lovers of hot chocolate… and if you can’t wait for the kettle to boil, dip in with a spoon for a naughty but nice treat!
